Labdia is a Cosmopterigidae genus with 164 species in the world and 4 species recorded in Taiwan. Labdia semicoccinea represents one of the Labdia species in Taiwan and could be easily recognized by the orange-red and light blue stripes on head, thorax and forewing. This species is known to be discovered in Korea (South), Japan, China, Taiwan, India, Java, Caucasus (Yoon & Byun, 2017).
