Hysteroscene extravagans Hering, 1925 環紋碩斑蛾

環紋碩斑蛾 / 黃腹透窗斑蛾(Hysteroscene extravagans)是斑蛾科(Zygaenidae)小斑蛾亞科(Procridinae)的成員，目前僅知產於台灣。本種的前翅為黑色底，中室前端外側有六塊長條透明斑，靠基部還有另外四塊長條透明斑；後翅亦為黑色底，有八塊長條透明斑；頭部後方有一圈黃色斑；腹部各節皆有黃色斑；觸角近前端處有白點。碩斑蛾屬目前共記錄三種，其中有兩種產於台灣：環紋碩斑蛾與透翅碩斑蛾(H. hyalina)。本屬的模式種為環紋碩斑蛾，乃Hering在1925年建立的屬，Tarmann在1992年的名錄裡雖然接受此處理，卻也另外提到本屬與Piarosoma沒有顯著差異。環紋碩斑蛾與透翅碩斑蛾的翅紋非常相似，但可藉由下列特徵區別兩者：1.前者頭部後方有一圈黃色，後者僅雌蟲有；2.前者腹部背方每節均有黃色斑紋；後者最末兩節缺乏黃斑。

A Brief Introduction

Hysteroscene extravagans, the type species of Hysteroscene, is an endemic species in Taiwan and very close to H. hyalina. The following characters could be used to identified H. extravagans: 1. a yellow ring behind head (absent in male H. hyalina); 2.dorsally, yellow markings on every segment of abdoman.
