Theretra silhetensis silhetensis (Walker, 1856) 單斜紋天蛾

單斜紋天蛾/芋單線天蛾/條紋天蛾(Theretra silhetensis silhetensis)是天蛾科(Sphingidae)長喙天蛾亞科(Macroglossinae)長喙天蛾族(Macroglossini)的成員，本亞種廣泛分佈於斯里蘭卡、印度、孟加拉、中南半島(尼泊爾、緬甸、泰國、越南)、中國南方、臺灣、日本、馬來西亞、印尼等地。本種的前翅為黃褐色底，前緣密布黑色鱗片，靠外緣有四條黑褐色斜線，頂角有一條黑色帶延伸到後緣靠翅基處，中室有一個黑點；後翅為黑色底，靠外緣有一條黃褐色帶，黃褐色帶外側散布黑色鱗片。斜紋天蛾屬(Theretra)全世界共記錄34種，在東南亞共記錄約11種，在台灣能找到其中的10種，僅T. pallicosta目前仍未有記錄。單斜紋天蛾可以藉由前翅的僅一條顯著的黑帶與同屬近似種─雙斜紋天蛾(T. oldenlandiae)的兩條區別。本種為常見種，幼蟲可取食多種食草，圖中個體發現於集集，取食玄參科的水龍，而後養至成蟲。
