Autocharis amethystina Swinhoe, 1894

Autocharis amethystina是草螟科(Crambidae)齒螟亞科(Odontiinae)的成員，分布於。本種的前翅為鵝黃色底，外中線至外緣間為紫紅色，外中線為黑色折線，中央向外緣凸出，亞外緣線為黑色暈開的直線；後翅為白色底，亞外緣線為黑色，僅剩下靠外緣中央有一小段，亞外緣線至外緣間有一小塊紫紅色斑。本屬目前已紀錄超過20種，主要分布於非洲區與澳洲區，少數幾種分布至東方區；在臺灣目前僅記錄一種，即本種，無其他近似種。在印度、尼泊爾等地有另一同屬近似種：A. fessalis，可藉由以下特徵與A. amethystina區分：1.前者前翅外中線平直，後者於中央向外緣凸出；2.前者後翅外緣有一條深色帶，後者僅有外緣中央處有一小塊紫紅色斑。圖中個體採於屏東縣牡丹鄉石板屋遺址，2011年10月。

A Brief Introduction

Autocharis amethystina represents the only species of Autocharis in Taiwan and shares no similar wing pattern with the other moths.
