Takanea excisa (Wileman,1910) 紅枯葉蛾

紅枯葉蛾(Takanea excisa)被歸屬於枯葉蛾科(Lasiocampidae)，目前僅知分布於台灣。本種的前翅為紅褐色底，外緣、亞外緣、中帶各有一條暗褐色的斑紋，中室末端有一黑點；後翅亦為紅褐色底，前緣有黑褐色、白色與黑色斑。在北東方區，Takanea共被紀錄兩種；在台灣僅產一種，且停棲方式十分特別，因此不難與其他枯葉蛾區分。紅枯葉蛾在台灣不常見，少有貼圖討論區能看見牠，主要出現在海拔2000公尺以上的山區。

A Brief Introduction

Takanea excisa, a unique member of Lasiocampidae distributed only in Taiwan until now, can be easily recognized from its resting posture that the forewings are placed flatten above the body rather than roof-like as in other species.
