Pyloetis mimosae被歸屬於蕈蛾科(Tineidae) Erechthiinae，廣泛分布於印澳區，如印度、斯里蘭卡、泰國、馬來西亞、越南、香港、台灣、日本、爪哇、蘇拉維西、摩鹿加群島與所羅門群島。本種的前翅為黑色底，外緣至後緣則為黃色；後翅為灰色，無其他翅紋。本種為單種屬，各學者對其亞科級地位有不同看法，而根據Miyamoto等人(2007)最新的研究，他們認為該屬較接近Erechthias，因此應該被置於Erechthiinae。本種的翅紋特殊，蕈蛾科裡無近似種。
A Brief Introduction
Pyloetis mimosae is the only species in Pyloetis and does not share similar wing pattern with other tineid moths.
