Arna bipunctapex (Hampson, 1891) 雙斑黃毒蛾

雙斑黃毒蛾(Arna bipunctapex)最早是由G. F. Hampson於1891年以Somena bipunctapex發表於Illustrations of typical specimens of Lepidoptera Heterocera in the collection of the British Museum 8。隨後J. D. Holloway於1976年時在Moths of Borneo with special reference to Mt. Kinabalu: 46中將其學名變更成Euproctis bipunctapex。至1999年，其學名再次由J. D. Holloway在The Moths of Borneo 5更換成Arna bipunctapex。A. Schintlmeister 1994年在其所著作的An annotated and illustrated check-list of the Lymantriidae of Sumatra with descriptions of new species (Lepidoptera, Lymantriidae), Heterocera Sumatrana 7中將Arna atomarina van Eecke, 1928視為Arna bipunctapex 的同物異名。鄰近地區相似種為茶毒蛾(Arna pseudoconspersa (Strand, 1914))，然而筆者至今仍未在台灣採集過茶毒蛾。其分佈由印度向中南半島、中國、台灣至巽他大陸。主要的鑑視特徵為雌雄於前翅頂角均具有兩點黑點，少數個體具有三個黑點；完整個體可見其具有顏色較淡的外線與中線。
