Notata parva Hampson, 1891 後褐斑苔蛾

後褐斑苔蛾(Notata parva)是燈蛾科(Arctiidae)苔蛾亞科(Lithosiinae)的成員，分布於台灣、菲律賓、印尼、印度與泰國等地。本種雄蟲的前翅背面為黃色底，無其他翅紋，腹面淡黃色，中室有一大塊黑斑；後翅背面為白色底，外緣有一條淡黃褐色斑，中室附近有一塊黑斑；軀幹與觸角為黃色。本屬在全世界的種類不多，僅約三種，模式種即本種，而在台灣僅記錄後褐斑苔蛾一種。雖然本屬在台灣僅有一種，但苔蛾亞科有許多種類的翅紋與後褐斑苔蛾十分近似，例如Neasura、雪苔蛾屬(Cyana)、Eilema、Trigroides等，尤其是雌蟲缺乏黑斑，與其他種類在辨識上更為不易。

A Brief Introsuction

Notata parva, the type species of Notata, represents the only member in Taiwan. Although there is only one Notata species in Taiwan, species of Neasura、Cyana、Eilema、Trigroides share similar wing pattern with N. parva.
