Analthes insignis (Butler, 1881)

Analthes insignis是草螟科(Crambidae)野螟亞科(Pyraustinae)的成員，分布於日本、中國與臺灣。本種雄蟲前翅狹長，於近臀角處(1A+2A末端)向外凸出，黑色底，前緣中央有兩塊梯形斑，如一個"凹"字；腹部為黑色底，無其他翅紋；腹部狹長。本屬在臺灣已紀錄三種，然而在1992年名錄與TaiBNET上共有四種，這是因為茶鬚野螟(Nosophora semitritalis)的屬級地位有變動而導致的落差。在日本產Analthes中，各種之間翅紋差異甚大，因此推測Analthes insignis亦容易與其他種類區分，惟仍需比較其他種類才能知道細節上的差異，待筆者蒐集到更多資訊後會再進一步比較。圖中個體來自天祥，2010年5月。

A Brief Introduction

Analthes insignis is one of the three Analthes species in Taiwan and could be easily identified by the slender forewing, two yellow markings with ground colour black on forewing.
