Andraca theae (Matsumura, 1909) 臺灣茶樺(蠶)蛾

臺灣茶樺(蠶)蛾/黃斑暗樺(蠶)蛾 (Andraca theae)是樺蛾科(Endromidae)的成員，分佈於臺灣與印度。本種的前翅外緣圓滑，頂角向外凸出，紅褐色底，內線、中線與外中線為褐色，中室近端部有一黑點，有一黑線自翅頂角延伸至外中線，外中線至外緣為深褐色，且近外中線中央有一塊白斑；後翅內緣摺起，黃褐色底，靠前緣1/3較偏黃，中線與外中線為褐色，中室近端部有一黑點。茶樺(蠶)屬(Andraca)過去有很長一段時間一直被置於蠶蛾科(Bombycidae)，然而根據最近利用分子序列重建蠶蛾總科的親緣關係研究結果指出，蠶蛾科下之Oberthueriinae、Prismostictinae應被視為樺蛾科之同物異名(Zwick et al., 2010)。雖然該研究僅將波花樺(蠶)蛾屬(Oberthueria)與小窗樺(蠶)蛾屬(Prismosticta)做為兩亞科之代表，然而因茶蠶(樺)蛾屬亦是Prismostictinae中的一員，因此本文亦將本屬處理為樺蛾科，中文名則參考臺灣鱗翅學簡訊，使用「樺(蠶)蛾」來表示這一群剛被移動過科級地位的蠶蛾。本屬在臺灣共紀錄兩種，分別為本種與綠茶蠶蛾(A. olivacea)。兩者可由以下特徵區別：1.前者為紅褐色，後者為黃褐色；2.前者前翅近外中線中央有一塊白(黃)斑，後者缺如。圖中個體採於埔里觀音瀑布，2010年11月。

A Brief Introduction

Andraca was regarded as a genus in Bombycidae according to the adult morphology before, however, recent molecular evidence supported it to be a clade of Endromidae. A. theae is one of the two Andraca species in Taiwan and could be easily identified by the ground colour of forewing and hindwing and white marking near the middle position of PML.
